O’Neal Acquires Engineering Firm

by GroundBreak Carolinas News Editor on August 20, 2018

O’Neal, Inc., an integrated design and construction firm, recently acquired DME Alliance Inc. (DME) based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In business for 16 years, DME provides engineering solutions for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and related industries. This acquisition will allow O’Neal to expand their BioPharm capabilities by building upon DME’s ongoing success.

“Over the last several years clients have been requesting that O’Neal expand their BioPharm services to address the resurging industry. We feel that DME’s team is a perfect fit to build upon. Both companies focus on complex projects in the $5 – $50 million range and that is where the need is”, said Kevin Bean, president and CEO of O’NeaI. “We are excited to have the expertise of David Marks along with his complete team on board as we move forward.”

Marks founded the company in 2001 and will continue to lead the Allentown office. Currently O’Neal has offices in Greenville and Atlanta with ongoing projects in over 15 states throughout the US. This acquisition will open more doors in the Northeast to allow O’NeaI to grow in the BioPharm industry but also grow O’NeaI’s other core markets.

“It was the right timing and the perfect fit. O’NeaI has a full bench of resources to help us grow and help us better serve our clients. I am thrilled to be a part of the O’NeaI team, who has a long, trusted history in the industry,” said Marks.
