O’Neal Named a Best Place to Work in South Carolina for 6th Consecutive Year

by GroundBreak Carolinas News Editor on June 27, 2017

O’Neal, Inc., a Greenville-based integrated design and construction firm, has been named to the list of Best Places to Work in South Carolina for the sixth consecutive year.

O’Neal President and CEO Kevin Bean

The Best Places to Work in South Carolina survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the state, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. This program is created annually in partnership by SC Biz News, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group. This is the twelfth year since the start of the program, and the list of employers is made up of over 60 companies.

“The fact that O’Neal has been recognized 6 years in row is exciting,” said Kevin Bean, president and CEO of O’Neal. “The feedback from the survey is what is most valued by O’Neal. We are in the process of investing over $4 million dollars in remodeling our Greenville and Atlanta offices to respond to our team members desire to have a more professional, ergonomic, and collaborative work environment. Listening to our team members is a key part of our culture. The Best Place to Work Survey is just one tool we use to achieve this.”

To be considered, companies entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.
