Parker Design Group Acquires Stone Engineering

Parker Design Group, Inc. has announce the acquisition of Stone Engineering, Inc. in Rocky Mount, VA.  Clyde Spencer, PE, LS, will continue to serve the needs of former Stone Engineering, Inc. clients transferring to Parker Design Group, Inc.

According to Parker Design Group, Stone Engineering’s reputation will contribute to their high standards of design and client satisfaction. Their combined goal is to be the experts of the ever-changing regulatory world while using the latest technology and education to provide excellent service resulting in a profitable business.

Stone Engineering, Inc. was established in 1998 to deliver civil engineering services to businesses and municipalities in the Franklin County area and has expanded to also serve Bedford, Henry, Roanoke, Pittsylvania, and Patrick County. Parker Design Group, Inc. has primarily served the communities of the Roanoke Valley, the New River Valley, Smith Mountain Lake, and Richmond and its surrounding communities. This acquisition will enhance the coverage of both firms in these areas, to include more areas in the Southside, such as Rocky Mount, Danville, Franklin County, and Martinsville, as well as parts of North Carolina. It will also enable the firms to offer more design offerings in the areas of site and utility design, as well as stormwater planning and review.

The acquisition was effective on March 15, 2017, and financial details about the deal were not immediately disclosed. Parker Design Group, Inc. is proud to welcome new and existing clients of both companies to take advantage of the highly professional, area leading civil engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, and stormwater solutions currently offered.
