Parker Poe Consulting Expands Southeastern Influence
Parker Poe Consulting, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, is strengthening its position as a leading Southeastern government relations resource through the addition of experienced lobbyists
Chuck McMullen and Amy Odom. Long serving on opposite sides of the political aisle, each with impressive records of legislative successes, Odom and McMullen are teaming up to provide clients in Georgia, throughout the Southeast, and across the country with an unparalleled resource for public policy strategy and legislative relations at the local, state, and national level.
Odom and McMullen have extensive experience providing government relations services to clients in the energy infrastructure, environmental, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical provider, and third-party health care payer industries. In addition to solid experience, they have extensive political and business networks and a reputation for managing complex legislative issues at the local, state, regional, and national level.
“The addition of Amy Odom, Chuck McMullen, and an Atlanta office is perfectly timed to help Parker Poe Consulting clients navigate the political landscape that is emerging as we head into 2018,” stated Parker Poe Managing Partner Tom Griffin. “They have the knowledge, relationships and experience to design and implement strategic public policy initiatives that will drive results for clients in both the public and private sectors.”
Odom and McMullen bring the added benefit of an association with the prestigious Washington-based BGR Group, a state, federal, and international government affairs and communications firm founded 30 years ago by Governor Haley Barbour.
McMullen has more than 20 years of experience managing government relations for public and private sector clients in the pharmaceutical, health care provider, food and beverage, and environmental industries. He has leveraged his relationships and public policy experience to provide clients with legislative results at the local, regional, and national level. McMullen has been named a top player in Georgia’s legislative session by the Atlanta Journal Constitution in 2016 and 2017, as well as one of James Magazine’s 2016 top male lobbyists.
Odom has more than 20 years of public policy, regulatory, and advocacy experience at the local, regional, multi-state level, and national level. From strategic government affairs planning to local grassroots initiatives, she has put her coalition-building skills to work providing results for clients in the heavily regulated health care, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries. Odom has been recognized as a top lobbyist in Georgia by James Magazine in 2016 and 2017 and in 2006 was included in Georgia Trend Magazine’s Top 40 under 40.
