Poyner Spruill’s Construction Group Ranked in Selective List of Law Firms and Attorneys

by GroundBreak Carolinas Staff on July 8, 2023

Raleigh-based Poyner Spruill LLP’s Construction Practice Area and individual attorneys have recently been recognized as leaders in the field with their inclusion in the 2023 guide of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

The Chambers USA annual guide establishes firm and attorney rankings by in-depth research, client interviews, and peer feedback. Individual rankings are based on attorneys’ legal knowledge and experience, ability and effectiveness, and client service. Achieving any ranking, from Band 1 through Band 5, is a significant accomplishment since the process is extremely selective.

Poyner Spruill partners Matt Bouchard (North Carolina Construction, Band 3) and Tate Ogburn (North Carolina Construction, Band 3) were recognized for their outstanding work along with the entire Construction Practice Area (Band 3).

The other Poyner Spruill practice areas that were ranked included Banking (Band 5), Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation (Band 1), Health Care (Band 3), Labor and Employment (Band 3), Litigation: General Commercial (Band 4), and Real Estate (Band 4).

Eight additional firm attorneys honored with individual rankings are:

Brian Corbett (North Carolina Banking & Finance, Band 4)

Drew Erteschik (Litigation: General Commercial, Band 2)

Chad Essick (North Carolina Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use, Band 2)

Susie Gibbons (North Carolina Labor & Employment, Band 4)

Keith Johnson (North Carolina Environment, Band 4)

Kelsey Mayo (North Carolina Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Band 1)

Stephanie Sanders (North Carolina Real Estate, Band 4)

Jesse St.Cyr (North Carolina Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Band 2)
