SCDOT Seeks Input on Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Transit Programs Funding
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is providing public notification of a proposed amendment to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) to include the Federal Fiscal Year 2017 Mass Transit Statewide Federal Funding Plan and projects that will receive Federal Transit Administration (FTA) program funds under the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2017-2018 Mass Transit annual funding program.
SCDOT’s Office of Public Transit recommends funding awards utilizing FFY 2017 Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST ACT) for the following projects:
· Section 5311: Formula Grants for Rural Areas Program (Anticipated Full Apportionment)
· Section 5310: Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program (Partial Apportionment for Rural & Small Urban Areas, representing 7/12’s of the full Federal apportionment)
· Statewide Allocation of State Mass Transit Funds
