SCDOT Seeks Public Comment on Interstate Rehab in Spartanburg County
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is providing public notification of a proposed amendment to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) to include Right-of-Way (ROW) and Construction for the S-50 (Walnut Grove Road) bridge jacking over I-26 near mile marker 34 in Spartanburg County.
The bridge is being raised to meet the vertical clearance standards required along I-26 upon completion of the I-26 rehabilitation near mile marker 23 to near mile marker 44 project. The bridge jacking includes $200,000 in FY 2018 for ROW and $1,000,000 in FY 2019 for Construction.
Pending consideration of public comments, the projects will be recommended for inclusion in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
