South Carolina Governor Issues Official Proclamation Recognizing Women in Construction

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has proclaimed March 1-7, 2020, as Women in Construction Week throughout the state, encouraging all South Carolinians to recognize the positive roles women in the construction industry play in our continued economic prosperity. The official Proclamation, signed by the governor, along with a separate a Proclamation from the City of Columbia, will be presented at a joint luncheon of Carolinas AGC (CAGC) and Columbia NAWIC members on Tuesday, March 2 in Columbia.

The state’s Proclamation is expected to be presented by S.C. Rep. Chip Huggins, Chairman, House Regulations and Administrative Procedures Committee. Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin will present the city’s Women in Construction Week Proclamation.
