Stanley Black & Decker to Open Manufacturing Facility in York County, SC
Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK), one of the world’s largest tool and storage companies, is opening a new manufacturing facility in York County. The new operations are projected to bring $31 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 500 new jobs.

An internationally-recognized Fortune 500 company, Stanley Black & Decker is a diversified global provider of hand tools, power tools and related accessories; electronic security solutions; and, engineered fastening systems.
Stanley Black & Decker will be occupying a new 345,000-square-foot facility for the manufacture and assembly of DEWALT cordless power tools. The new facility will be located in the Lakemont Business Park in Fort Mill, S.C.
With a manufacturing presence in the U.S. dating back to 1843, Stanley Black & Decker continues to advance its “Made in the USA with Global Materials” operations by growing its manufacturing capacity in the U.S. This York County facility will enable further acceleration of Stanley Black & Decker’s “Make Where We Sell” strategy.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
