Stephen Cooper Promoted to Director of McCrory Construction’s Greenville Operations
McCrory Construction announces the promotion of Stephen Cooper to Director of Greenville Operations effective January 1, 2022. Most recently, Cooper held the position of Senior Project Manager. With more than 10 years of project management experience, Cooper has led some of McCrory’s most demanding projects from early-stage preconstruction efforts through completion. Much of his focus has been on design-build delivery of sizable industrial and commercial projects – both new buildings and facility upgrades. As the newest member of McCrory’s senior leadership team, Cooper will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s Greenville office.
At 104 years old, McCrory Construction is the oldest general contractor in the state of South Carolina. Cooper had the distinction of being the only construction operations executive in the 2020 Class of Greenville’s “Best & Brightest.”
Cooper is a 2011 Graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science and Management (CSM) and a minor in Business. He is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), a well-established, highly respected industry association. He is currently studying for the rigorous exam required to become a DBIA Certified Professional, a prestigious industry credential. Cooper lives with his wife and two children in Simpsonville.
