Strong Attendance at NC Legislative Day

Representatives from several construction-related companies converged on Raleigh, NC on March 29 for the annual North Carolina Legislative Day. According to organizers, over 100 people attended the annual event.

The program featured presentations from three key legislators on billions of dollars in capital improvement funding and other issues. Carolinas AGC members and staff, along with representatives of AIA North Carolina, the Professional Engineers of North Carolina, the American Engineering Council of North Carolina, and NC Go participated.

The day began at the AIA North Carolina headquarters, with legislative presentations by lawmakers and staff from the four organizations. Next, attendees visited with many of the 170 legislators and observed committee meetings as well as legislative sessions of the North Carolina House and Senate. After the legislative day, CAGC hosted an event at the Oak and Dagger restaurant.
