The Construction Users Roundtable Announces its 2023 Construction Industry Project Excellence Award Winners

The Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) announced its seventh annual Construction Industry Project Excellence (CIPE) Awards and called upon the industry to continue its progress in promoting construction productivity across the globe. CURT is committed to giving significant national and international recognition to companies and organizations that excel in productivity on capital projects. 

CURT is an association of leading corporations in the United States and Canada dedicated to promoting cost-effective construction methods. In creating the award, CURT’s goal is to promote project delivery excellence while standardizing productivity metrics that indicate exceptional performance. After a uniform standard is developed, tracking and improvement initiatives will be developed to incrementally build enhanced, sustainable processes for project delivery. As a result, CURT founded the CIPE Awards to recognize companies and organizations for extraordinary, exemplary, and innovative forms of productivity.

 The CURT CIPE Award is intended to recognize project teams who have achieved excellence in project delivery. The award-judging committee evaluates a project’s ability to add value, eliminate waste, and increase overall excellence in five areas: Safety, Cost Performance, Schedule Performance, Quality, and Innovation. Through identifying and recognizing excellence in project delivery, CURT hopes to capture and promulgate the common practices from the best of the best and thereby accelerate continuous improvement throughout the industry as a whole. 

Thanks go to the CURT Construction Industry Project Excellence Awards Committee, Co-Chaired by Albert Schwarzkopf, Project Director, Wood, and Robert Wagner, Family Care Global Business Unit Construction Manager, The Procter & Gamble Company. 

The selected winners for 2023 were as follows:

  • Batchelor & Kimball – Arthur M. Blank Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
  • Merck/Jacobs DS4 Project 
  • Turner Industries Capital Project Group PVC Expansion 

CURT announced these prestigious awards and made the presentations at its 2023 Awards of Excellence Celebration held in Naples, Florida, on November 14, 2023.
