The Heirloom Companies Honored for Exceptional Skill and Craftsmanship with Three Bridge Awards from HGA Greenville

by GroundBreak Staff Report on May 19, 2021

CAMPOBELLO, S.C.— The Heirloom Companies received three honors for its exceptional skill and craftsmanship in the Special Features category from the Home Builders Association of Greenville at its 2021 Bridge Awards Gala.

  • Outdoor pavilion, crafted in partnership with The Collins Group and J. Dabney Peeples Design;
  • Sculptural chandelier, crafted in partnership with DP3 Architects and Mavin Construction for Hale’s Jewelers new headquarters on Verdae Blvd.; and
  • Staircase, crafted in partnership with Stoneledge Builders and Meranda Bailey  Interiors & Design.

“We continue to be grateful to be called upon to create special works that create an experience within spaces for families and businesses,” stated Ben Moseley, The Heirloom Companies’ Operations Director. Moseley also serves as the current President of the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Greenville. “Each of these award-winning projects has its own story, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

The Outdoor Pavilion was fabricated and installed by The Heirloom Companies’ team in response to a need to make a terrace into a sanctuary for outdoor dining in collaboration with J. Dabney Peeples Design and The Collins Group. With design inspiration that ranges from the delicate lines and metalwork of the New Orleans French Quarter to the enduring tradition of outdoor living in the Hamptons, the terrace ticks every box—dovetailing with the design of the garden by centering on the axis of the existing fountain and complementing the house not unlike a piece of sophisticated jewelry.

The Sculptural Chandelier was achieved through close coordination with the architect, the builder, and the owner. DP3 Architects and The Heirloom Companies worked together on this custom 28-foot, larger-than-life sculptural light fixture creating a new design, getting creative with materials and methods to complete the massive sculptural art that takes the space to a new level. The architecture of Hale’s Jewelers new store reflects the gesture of opening a jewelry box and the soaring roof forms enhance the hidden treasures inside.

The Staircase is truly the heart of this beautiful home, featuring open risers and white oak treads with a decorative iron handrail designed by The Heirloom Companies. The two-story window feature allows this staircase to also be a focal point from the exterior view of the home, with the requirement to have the stair appear to be “floating” with attachments only at the top and bottom.

The Home Builders Association of Greenville recognizes excellence in craftsmanship, service to the industry, commitment to the community and member recruitment and retention, with a variety of awards through its annual Bridge Awards. The awards are divided among three main categories: individual, sales and marketing, and craftsmanship.
