Walbridge Announces Mike Bedell as AVP and General Manager for Southeast
Walbridge is pleased to welcome Mike Bedell as the new General Manager and AVP of Walbridge’s Southeast office located in Charlotte. Bedell will lead Walbridge’s Southeast operations with a local and regional focus that is supported by the firm’s national footprint. Established 15 years ago, the Charlotte office is a full-service business unit that manages projects in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida.
Bedell has more than three decades of experience in the construction industry with heavy concentration in the Carolinas. His experience covers a variety of market sectors, ranging from higher education, K-12 education, up-fit work, large-scale multi-story office and industrial/manufacturing projects.
Walbridge’s has constructed new facilities in Southeast for BMW, Boeing, Bridgestone, Benteler, Continental Tire, ZF Transmissions, Pratt Whitney, Pepsi, Kobelco, Mazda-Toyota Manufacturing, Volkswagen and many others. Infrastructure projects include those at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Jacksonville Airport Authority, and Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, as well as a new parking structure on the UNC Charlotte Campus. Walbridge supports the mission of military construction in the United States and has worked on multiple military bases across the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Alabama.
