ABC Carolinas Excellence in Construction Awards to Honor the Industry’s Best Projects
The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas will honor the “Best Construction Projects in the Carolinas” at its 16th Annual Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards banquet on November, 16, 2017 at the Hilton Charlotte Center City in Charlotte, N.C.
For ABC EIC Award winners, the banquet provides a platform for the entire project team to be recognized and celebrate their collective efforts. The annual event typically draws more than 700 attendees representing a cross-section of the industry — contractors, owners, designers, service providers, and suppliers — who come to support their own teams and those of their industry peers.

“ABC of the Carolinas continues to celebrate our most innovative and high-quality construction projects, while also recognizing safety and diversity among our members,” said Michelle Lewter, Vice President, ABC of the Carolinas. “Our EIC awards banquet has truly evolved to become the premier event of the year, thanks to our members for sharing these projects and their successes with us.”
Each year, ABC Carolinas members (general contractors and specialty contractors) nominate their best projects with an application and full online submission describing the unique and quality characteristics of their projects. The projects are judged by impartial members of the construction industry, including prominent engineers and architects, according to the criteria for each award.
Awards given in any category may be an Honorable Mention, an Award of Merit, or the Eagle Award — the highest-level of recognition. ABC Carolinas also recognizes three special category awards: the Carolinas Green Award, the Carolinas Design-Build Award, and the Carolinas Best in BIM Award.

After all the awards are presented, the much anticipated Carolinas Project of the Year is revealed (in two categories: General Contractor and Specialty Contractor).
