Excellence in Construction Award Winners Announced

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas announced the winners and finalists for their Annual Excellence in Construction awards. Each year, the organization celebrates the best in construction projects in the Carolinas. The 2017 ABC EIC Awards will be presented on November, 16 at the Hilton in Charlotte, NC.

This year, the Project Of The Year finalists are:

Excellence in Construction is a yearly awards banquet where general contractors and specialty contractors submit their projects to be recognized by the industry. The banquet offers the opportunity for the entire project team to be recognized and celebrate their efforts. The event sells out at 700 attendees, of general contractors, specialty contractors, owners, and architects.

ABC Carolinas’ Excellence in Construction program is the premier competition within the Carolinas construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects built by ABC members. The Excellence in Construction Awards celebration honors Carolinas members’ most innovative and high quality construction projects, and safety programs.

Each year, ABC Carolinas members nominate their best projects with an application and full online submission describing the unique and quality characteristics of their projects. The projects are judged by impartial members of the construction industry, including prominent engineers and architects, according to the criteria for each award.

Awards given in any category may be an Honorable Mention, an Award of Merit, or an Eagle Award. ABC Carolinas also recognizes three category awards: the Carolinas Green Award, the Carolinas Design-Build Award, and the Carolinas Best in BIM Award. We celebrate all award-winning projects at the annual EIC Awards Banquet, held the third Thursday of each November.

The EIC Awards Banquet also reveals the Carolinas Project of the Year, one for general contractors and one for specialty contractor projects.
